5th Grade Transition Tours a SUCCESS!

January came and went and what a great start we had to the New Year. Last week we were privileged to meet all the incoming 6th graders as we held our 5th grade tours and transition meetings. During the tour the students learned about

Lava Ridge as well as registered for their 2018-19 classes. We had the opportuni- ty to meet with all of their 5th grade Teachers and learn about what great stu- dents we have coming to Lava Ridge next year.

Last week we also had the Snow Canyon Middle School counselors come over and get our 7th graders all registered for the 8th grade. And we can’t forget our current 6th graders who received their registration forms on Wednesday the 31st and will be registering for their 7th grade classes on Friday February 2nd. We would like to thank all those that helped make last weeks registrations run so smoothly!

Sometime this month we will be sending out our “Needs Assessment”. Please watch for this to come in an email form, or you may also go on our counselor website https://www.counseling.lavaridge.net/ and find the needs assessment there. The assessment feedback is very important to our counseling program and our school, as it allows us to better understand the needs of our students and their parents that will assist us in improving our program and “Doing What’s Best for All Students”.
